PCB Copy Board and Production File Package Generation

Release Date:Sep 07, 2026

PCB copy board production file package generation is the core terminal link of PCB reverse engineering and cloning technology, which converts the reverse-analyzed PCB layout data into standardized, complete, and factory-directly usable production file packages, covering all data files required for PCB factory board making, component assembly, and functional testing. The complete production file package is the only data basis for mass production of cloned PCBs, and its completeness, standardization, and accuracy directly determine the production yield, assembly accuracy, and functional consistency of the cloned circuit boards. This technical process is applicable to single-sided, double-sided, multi-layer high-precision PCBs, including ordinary rigid boards, flexible boards, rigid-flex combined boards, and high-density interconnection (HDI) boards, meeting the mass production needs of various electronic products.

The production file package generation process is based on complete reverse layout data. After completing the full-scan reverse analysis of the original PCB, including wiring layer, copper layer, solder mask layer, silk screen layer, and hole position data, technicians first carry out full-board data sorting and error correction. They eliminate common reverse errors such as broken lines, short circuits, missing pads, offset hole positions, and distorted silk screens, and optimize the wiring process according to PCB manufacturing industry specifications, including line width and line spacing correction, copper foil clearance optimization, and hole size standardization, to ensure that the layout data meets the production process capabilities of mainstream PCB factories. For high-frequency boards, high-speed signal boards, and impedance control boards, impedance matching optimization and signal integrity processing are also carried out in combination with the original board process parameters to retain the original electrical performance characteristics.

A complete PCB production file package contains multiple core file modules with independent functions. The first module is the Gerber layer file, which includes all signal layers, power layers, ground layers, solder mask layers, paste mask layers, and silk screen layers, and is the core file for PCB board etching and layer alignment. The second module is the drill file, which contains the position, aperture, and attribute parameters of all through holes, vias, and positioning holes, supporting the factory's CNC drilling process. The third module is the board outline file, which defines the overall size, edge cutting, and positioning groove parameters of the PCB. The fourth module is the BOM bill of materials, which records the model, specification, quantity, package, and manufacturer alternative parameters of all components on the board. The fifth module is the assembly coordinate file, which provides the precise placement coordinates and angle parameters of SMD components for SMT placement production. In addition, the file package also includes process description documents, impedance parameter tables, and production tolerance specification documents.

The final stage is file standardization detection, compatibility verification, and package sorting. All generated production files are detected by professional Gerber verification software to check layer alignment accuracy, line integrity, hole position correctness, and process feasibility, ensuring no production dead angles or process errors. The files are sorted and classified according to factory production standards, and unified naming and folder classification management are adopted to facilitate factory production calling. The output production file package supports one-click import by all domestic and foreign PCB manufacturers, can directly complete processes such as board making, drilling, electroplating, etching, silk screen printing, and surface treatment, and is perfectly compatible with subsequent SMT patch assembly and functional testing, realizing seamless docking from reverse copy board data to industrial mass production, and ensuring that the electrical performance, structural size, and appearance quality of the mass-produced boards are completely consistent with the original sample boards.
